This is a lighthearted look at ways to use everyday items that most people already own, as containers for flower arrangements. Carol will make five arrangements or decorations with spring flowers and foliage in vintage containers that she has collected. They will be raffled off to the attendees, along with bundles of leftover flowers and foliage to take home and use to make their own arrangements.

Carol King Platt is a former contributing editor at House & Garden and for 23 years wrote a weekly garden column for The New London Day. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Traditional Home and Better Homes and Gardens. She is the past chair of the Landscape Design Council of Connecticut.
