Special Events

Serve the Community

Special Events are a vital component of Pequot Library’s fundraising efforts, helping the Library to raise nearly 70% of its annual operating costs. Each fundraising event – from galas to book sales – is an opportunity to engage and serve the community, as well as fund the services, programs, and exhibitions offered for free at Pequot Library throughout the year.

Book Sales

There is no admission charge for the sales, and all proceeds support Pequot Library’s services and programs. Proceeds from book sales support our lending library services, our robust roster of programs and events, our Special Collections exhibitions, and School Outreach tours. Books and media are generously donated year-round in the Shed off the Library parking lot.
