How It Works
About the Book Sale "Specials"
We have had time to catch up with processing of our donated books. The result: One of our richest sales both in terms of quality of books, and numbers of items for sale.
Two separate catalogs are provided – one with our rarest items – all obtained from generous donors from the past few years. Items from both will be offered as described below.
Please note: Items in this catalog are one-of-a-kind. Subject to prior sale.
Pricing
As shown in this catalog for purchases from the start of online sales (Sunday, July 16 at noon) through the first date of the summer sale on Friday, July 21.
These prices are NOT subject to additional discounts offered on Friday purchases for other books at the sale (Other purchases >$200, on Friday receive a 20% discount). Unsold items in this catalog will be subject to discounts of:
20% on Saturday | 30% on Sunday | 40% on Monday
Viewing and Purchasing
Starting at noon on Sunday, July 16, these items (and possibly some others) will be available for purchase online at our online store. Visit https://pequot-library-booksale.square.site/ to view and purchase. Purchased items can be collected in person at the library starting Friday, July 21.
While we try to offer our books at attractive/fair prices, we have no illusions of being infallible book-sellers. So, please feel free to submit bids to us on any items in this catalog at pequotbooks@gmail.com starting Sunday, July 16.
Want to view any of these items in advance? We realize that the condition of books is very important and we have tried to describe the any significant issues we have found with each. Still, we encourage in-person viewing at the library from 11am -2pm on Tuesday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 12. Alternatively, we can try to provide further information about specific books upon request.
