This year, for the Library’s second outdoor summer chamber music series, the focus will be on “Early Music.” Early Music, a relatively loose term, encompasses all choral and instrumental music stretching from the early Middle Ages, through the Renaissance, to the middle of the seventeenth century. Marked by beautiful, textured vocals and melodic harpsichords and lutes, there is no better place to enjoy the beauty of sound than Pequot Library’s Great Lawn. Please check back in for our finalized schedule.
Dates:
June 21– Elm City Consort
June 28– Joe Jones
July 12– Piffaro, with Grant Herreid, Yale University Professor of Music and Priscilla Herreid, Director of Piffaro
