Hochschild wrote King Leopold’s Ghost: A Story of Greed, Terror and Heroism in Colonial Africa, a critically acclaimed text examining the atrocities of Belgian Congo. King Leopold’s Ghost won the prestigious Mark Lynton History Prize.
