Inspired by the pressed flowers and ferns in our summer exhibition, Waste Not: Preservation at Play, participants in the program will pick flowers from Aspetuck Land Trust’s demonstration garden, use the SEEK app to identify them, and press and label their finds in repurposed books. For children ages 8 and up.

Flower Pressing Workshop is part of our Summer Programs!

How Summer Programs at Pequot Library works: Every participant will receive a Summer Programs Attendee Card with eight circles. Children earn a stamp every time they participate in a summer program, including our weekly Audubon Pollinator Scavenger Hunt. (Find the answer to each week’s scavenger hunt question and earn one stamp.)

Participants with four stamps will receive a $5 voucher  to our Summer Book Sale. Eight stamps will get you an additional $20 Summer Book Sale voucher and a chance to win the raffle prize. In-person registration is required and begins at Miss Susan’s Summer Supper and Campout on Friday, June 14. Summer Programs at Pequot Library runs through July 31. Summer Programs are inspired by our exhibition, Waste Not: Preservation at Playon view from June 20 to September 21, 2024.
