Special events help raise critical funds for all the ways that Pequot Library serves the Fairfield community and beyond. These summer fundraisers will help provide everything from book collections to programs for all ages to educational exhibitions and so much more. Your support is greatly appreciated. Derby Day Party
Saturday, May 3, 2025

Join the party of the year on Pequot Library’s Great Lawn, with festive hats, decorated tailgates, and delicious Kentucky fare, plus an open bar! Enter to win raffle items, select a bottle from the Bourbon Wall, and pick the winning horse in the 50/50 raffle, then watch the “Run for the Roses” on the big screen in the auditorium. Summer Book Sale
Friday–Tuesday, July 25-29

One of the largest book sales in New England, the Summer Book Sale draws book lovers from near and far with a selection of over 100,000 items in over 50 categories. The five-day sale is held in large tents on the Great Lawn and parking lot and inside the library. Hours and pricing varies by day. Learn more…
