Enjoy an evening of theater with fellow Pequot Library patrons at Pinkney Park in Rowayton. We’re seeing Shakespeare on the Sound’s performance of King John!

King John (who you may have heard of from the Robin Hood tales), one of Shakespeare’s most brilliant plays that you never knew he wrote, will transport audiences back to England in the early 1200s, where England and France battled with words and swords for dominance in medieval Europe. Audiences will have to decide who to stand with – England or France – and how far they’re willing to go when their life and ideals are threatened. This special performance includes:
• Reserved lawn seating for Pequot Library patrons – arrive early, and bring a picnic supper, blanket or lawn chairs.
• Enjoy a pre-performance for children at 6:30 p.m.
• Full production of King John starts at 7:00 p.m.
Donations to Shakespeare on the Sound are greatly appreciated and can be made at the door.
