Adult Programs Manager Charlie McMahon leads a special tour for Library Giving Day. Pequot Library is an architectural gem listed on The National Register of Historic Places and the recipient of the 2018 CT Treasures Award. Learn about the history of the library, which was founded by Southport resident Virginia Marquand Monroe in 1889, while exploring the building’s iconic Tiffany & Company stained glass windows, original steel stacks, glass floors, reading rooms, and original fireplaces.
