Enjoy a docent-led tour of the library, an architectural gem listed on The National Register of Historic Places and recipient of the 2018 CT Treasures Award. Learn about the history of the library, which was founded by Southport resident Virginia Marquand Monroe in 1889, while exploring the building’s iconic Tiffany & Company stained glass windows, original steel stacks, glass floors, reading rooms, and original fireplaces. Limit 6 people per tour group. $10.
Private tours are also available and may be planned according to your schedule. The cost is $10/person with a limit of ten guests per group.
