Night Skies is a program featuring Mike Francis, a physical science and physics teacher and former 10-year lecturer at the Charles Hayden Planetarium at Boston’s Museum of Science. Night Skies uses Starlab, an inflatable planetarium dome and projector system, to create a remarkably realistic night sky. After entering the giant bubble, the lights dim and the evening sky appears. Experience the wonder of the universe! Registration required. (Visit and earn 25 points)

10:30 – 11:15 a.m.       3- to 5-year-olds, along with their caregivers, learn to find pictures in the sky and hear stories about the stars.

1:00 – 2:00 p.m.       6- to 9-year-olds find the most popular current constellations and learn about the sun, the stars, and our place in the universe.

2:30 – 3:30 p.m.        10- to 17-year-olds learn all the things they can see with the naked eye and some of the reasons they are important to us.
