Straight from across the pond comes a bold and hilarious new voice in queer romantic comedy. In her debut novel Experienced, author Kate Young introduces us to Bette, a late-blooming lesbian whose journey of self-discovery, awkward firsts, and unexpected love is as laugh-out-loud funny as it is deeply moving. Perfect for fans of heartfelt, character-driven romantic comedies, Experienced explores what it means to come into your own, at any age.

Join us virtually for an intimate conversation with Kate Young and Circulation Desk Representative Amelia Sullivan as she dives into the inspiration behind Experienced, shares her writing process, and offers a peek into what’s next.

Kate Young is a writer and cook whose award-winning Little Library Cookbooks feature food inspired by beloved works of literature. After a sunny Australian childhood, spent indoors reading books, she moved to London, which suited her much better. She now lives in a converted factory in the English countryside. Her debut novel Experienced, is a queer romcom set in Bristol.
