Join us for a culinary Meet the Author with Abigail Johnson Dodge, the author of eleven cookbooks, including Sheet Cake (Clarkson Potter, 2021) – named one of the best cookbooks of the year by The New York Times, Minneapolis Star Tribune and Taste of Home – and The Everyday Baker–a James Beard Foundation Finalist and IACP Cookbook Award Winner. She is a widely respected food writer, acclaimed instructor, and a media personality. Abby was the founding test kitchen director at Fine Cooking magazine, where she served as a contributing editor and writer for more than twenty-five years. She has also written and contributed to dozens of popular, well respected online and print media outlets. Abby will be in conversation with her friend and fellow local author, E.B. Lee, whose debut work of literary fiction, Clean Sweep, is a heartfelt story of homelessness, human connection, tough choices, and compassion. Prior to writing, Ms. Lee was a flower farmer at her Butternut Gardens LLC Flower Farm in Southport and worked in the environmental field. She earned a Masters Degree from Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies (now renamed Yale School of the Environment) and an undergraduate degree from Yale College. Ms. Lee and her husband have two grown daughters, one middle-aged dog, and have loved a variety of family pets along the way. Ms. Lee writes in North Carolina and Connecticut.
