November 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Have you ever heard about the 1631 Sinner’s Bible that contained the typo “Thou Shall Commit Adultery?” Sometimes, the process of assembling lines of moveable type (done upside down and backwards) led to benign typos, and sometimes the chaotic world of the printing workshop created much bigger problems.

Join Pequot Library’s Special Collections Librarian Dr. Jamie Cumby for an entertaining and informative talk about the human element, technology, and social parameters of the early printing industry.
