In coordination with our Alphabets, Bedtime Stories, and Cautionary Tales: Children’s Books and the Shaping of American Identity, we ask you to join us for a round or two of the classic morality game of Chutes and Ladders. The game is a lot of fun: if a player’s token lands on something you’re supposed to be doing then up the ladder you go, conversely, if the pawn lands on something you’re not supposed to be doing then you’ll slide down the chute. The first to reach the top is the winner. After playing the game, participants will make their own versions of Chutes and Ladder, with their own ideas of actions and their consequences. For ages: 7+
