Historic Southport Walking Tour
Enjoy a docent-led walking tour of historic Southport and step back in time to a bygone era, covering 300 years of Fairfield history. Discover the history of Fairfield through the central events and activities that happened in Southport, the Town’s harborside village. Attendees will learn more about the role the Southport area played in the Pequot War, the prosperous onion and agriculture businesses, and the many notable early Connecticut families who once lived here. Take in a variety of architectural styles, including Colonial, Greek Revival, and Victorian.
Meet on Pequot Library’s Great Lawn. Registration required. Limited to 12 attendees per tour.
