Join Pequot staff in the new Dillon Reading Room and discover the ingenuity of William Morris and the beauty of the Kelmscott Press. Between 1891 and 1897 Morris printed 52 titles and developed three new typefaces “with the hope of producing (books) which would have a definite claim to beauty, while at the same time be easy to read,” (Morris, 1898). View some of the 39 titles owned by Pequot Library, including The Tale of Beowulf (1895) and The Works of Geoffrey Chaucer (1896). Free and open to the public. Registration recommended.
