Celebrate dynamic artists and art forms at Pequot Library’s 22nd Annual Juried Art Show. Open to artists of all ages working in all media: painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, and video. Juried by Lisa Cooper of Elisa Contemporary Art. This year also features a special 22 Under 22 category to be displayed in the Perkin Gallery, juried by acclaimed artist Michele Hermsen.

About Lisa Cooper
Elisa Contemporary Art was originally launched in November 2007, as a way to harness the power of art to positively transform people lives.
The Riverdale New York Gallery was opened in September 2008. Elisa Contemporary Art remains Riverdale’s only Contemporary Art gallery. The Fairfield CT Art Salon opened in 2017.
Her Art Consulting services began in 2009 and she works with clients from the experienced collector to the first time buyer. An extensive relationship with artists and galleries worldwide enables Lisa to find the perfect artwork for every client project, style and budget.
Over the past few years, she has curated over 40 shows in public and private art spaces in the Tri-State area, participated in international art fairs in New York City, Miami and the Hamptons. Lisa has worked with interior designers for the Designer Showhouse of Westchester (in Scarsdale), as well as showhouses in the Hamptons. In 2013, we were selected as the Bronx gallery for the 2013 CURATENYC.
In 2017, she opened an Art Salon in Fairfield CT and hosts a series of events and talk on Art Collecting.
Lisa Cooper is also a member of the Arts & Architecture Review Committee at Saint Peter’s Church (NYC – home of the Louise Nevelson white sanctuary), a member of the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, Art Table and POWarts. She’s been a guest lecturer at School of Visual Arts and Queens College and a co-founder of the 2011/2012 Riverdale Festival of the Arts and co-leader of the NY Chapter of the Association of Women Art Dealers.
About Michele Hermsen
Michele has been a professional artist for 25 years working in the field of Graphic Design and Photography. Additionally, she has over 20 years of experience leading creative students in photography and art. In 2010 and 2012, Michele was nationally recognized and awarded a Gold Medal by Scholastics Incorporated for Excellence in Teaching. She has worked as an independent designer contracted to General Electric and Stellar Technologies. Michele holds a BFA from Alfred University, A Teaching Certification from Moore College of Art and Design, A Masters in Education from Southern CT State University, and two Masters equivalents from the College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, Massachusetts.
