Discover the stories of love and friendship preserved in Pequot Library’s Special Collections through this pop-up exhibition in the May Room. Curated items on display include the diary of a love-struck teenager and future artist, Clare Leighton; a mysterious 1846 love letter in which a female admirer professes her love to a man and instructs him to visit a fortune teller; and a 1906 scrapbook from Smith College student Ruth Holman, in which she preserved charming Valentine’s Day notes from her friends.
