Meet the Author: Veena Dinavahi

Pequot Library and Westport Writers’ Workshop present an interactive author reading and writing event with debut memoirist Veena Dinahavhi and Westport Writers’ Workshop instructor Julie Sarkissian. Dinahavhi will read from her new book, The True Happiness Company, and join in conversation with Sarkissian about what we can take away from Dinahavhi’s experience escaping a cult. Audience members will write together to a prompt aimed at exploring the authentic self, inspired by Dinahavhi ‘s determination to live life on her own terms. Barrett Bookstore will be on hand to sell copies of her memoir.
