The Children’s Department offers four thirty-minute preschool storytime programs during the school year for children of various ages:

Babes on a Blanket (0-12 months)
Tuesdays 11:00am
Join our baby play group! Come share board books, toys, and rhymes with your baby—15 minutes structured, 30 minutes free play and socializing. Tea/coffee/fruit on us!
No registration required.

Wiggle Ones (12-24 months—walkers only)
Wednesdays 10:30am
Waddle around to nursery rhymes, fingerplays, music and a simple story. 
Registration required.

Wee People (24-36 months)
Tuesdays 9:30am
Blast in for a tale or two, a craft to take, a fingerplay and a song to sing. 
Registration required.

Three-to-Five Beehive (3-5 years old)
Thursdays 11:00am 
Drop-in Storytime is waiting just for you! Buzz on in, share some weekly theme-based stories and take home a related craft. 
No registration required.

Babes on a Blanket and Three-to-Five Beehive are offered as drop-in programs.

Wiggle Ones and Wee People, which require advance registration, are limited to 12 children and their grownups. These fill up quickly and we ask that you consider joining the Pequot Library Association (PLA) if you wish to secure a spot. Preference is given to PLA members first.
