DOCENT PROGRAM
Docents are volunteers who are trained to lead members of the community through tours of Pequot Library, the Special Collections exhibitions, and art installments. Docents engage guests through lively, interactive discussion and a hands-on approach to learning while conveying the warmth that Pequot Library is known for.  Docents who lead tours for school groups also have the opportunity to facilitate art and writing projects after tours, so that students may synthesize what they have learned at the library in a creative way.

Pequot Library's Docent Program offers the opportunity to experience first-hand the items from our Special Collections while engaging young minds with treasures they won't find anyplace else.
