bell exhib pottery smallPequot Library and Fairfield University’s Bellarmine Museum of Art, celebrate pottery created by the Pueblo peoples of the southwestern United States.

•    Pequot Library’s Reading Room display case, from August 8 through August 31, 2013 presents books that explore the distinctive styles of both ancient and modern Pueblo pottery

•    Bellarmine Museum of Art, from June 27 through October 3, 2013, the exhibit Fire and Earth: Native American Pottery from New Mexican Pueblos

•    September 25, 2013 at 5pm, Diffley Board Room of Bellarmine Hall at Fairfield University lecture about Pueblo pottery, Pueblo Pottery from the American Southwest given by Dr. Bruce Bernstein. Dr. Bernstein is an Independent Curator and former Executive Director, Southwestern Association for Indian Arts and Assistant Director for Collections and Research, National Museum of the American Indian.

•    Pequot Library has a display of Native American-themed books which can be checked-out.
